Risk management professionals association publishes Registry Trust data article
The not-for-profit professional membership association for risk management professionals, ALARM, has published a Registry Trust data article about the financial impact of indebtedness and financial vulnerability.
Referencing our recent report on 'What does 2022 hold for financially vulnerable households in the UK?' the article says:
"Registry Trust predicts the trajectory of indebtedness to be akin to that of the post-2008 financial crash; a steady incline leading to a peak as financially protective measures continue to be removed. So far, that prediction has run true."
It then goes on to focus specifically on County Court Judgments (CCJs) and what can be done to proactively tackle the root cause of arrears including our recommendation to improve the rate at which CCJs are 'satisfied' by educating people on how to do so and, eventually, making the process fairer. The article also mentions our studies into the link between commercial CCJs and insolvency, and between areas with high CCJ rates and inadequate debt advice.
